During protests by Madivalar on Tuesday, Tahsildar Suresh Munje, Block Education Officer Basavarajappa R and village leader Jinendra Khemlapure had met him and assured him to take up the demand with the government.

He was also informed that two classrooms have been sanctioned and should prepare for the new academic year.

Madivalar, also a poet has earned trust of School Development and Monitoring Committee members and parents dedicating his time for development of the school.

He has transformed the once dilapidated school into hi-tech institution. Students from the village were now receiving quality education. Despite the school having 146 students, the lack of adequate classrooms was concerning issue.

The headmaster had resorted to protest demanding classrooms for students and other infrastructure to ensure that the students also get quality education on par with students from private schools.

Block Education Officer Basavarajappa R had issued show-cause notice to Madivalar on May 27, for his acts of resorting to protest and embarrassing the government and department.

In the notice, it had been mentioned that Madivalar if wanted more classrooms to the school, should have sent his request through the office, but by protesting against the government has violated guidelines of department.

Despite being told that 2 classrooms had been sanctioned, Madivalar behaved in a way that embarrasses the department and dared to take action against him. Language used before the Tahsildar and others present was uncivilised and loud. Words used in the representation too were not fair.

Madivalar was asked to reply for the notice in two days and failing to which it would be considered as no reply and action would be taken against him.

Block Education Officer Basavarajappa suspended Madiwalar for staging protest against the government despite being government employee and embarrassing the department.
