The team has designed a kite of chariot. The design of the 18 feet height and 10 feet width kite is prepared by artist Dinesh Holla. Pranesh Kudroli, Sathish Rao, Arun have helped in the process. Sarvesh Rao stitched the kite.

At a time when the whole world is becoming increasingly aware of the importance of water, a new kite is being designed to raise awareness about water conservation. The kite depicts a water pot placed on a palanquin with the message that “Water is the visible god on this earth”.

In the design, the sky is above, and between the hills below lies the water pot. In the foreground, there is a depiction of greenery with trees and plants in the background, conveying the message of water preservation.

These kites are being crafted in an applique style using ripstop nylon fabric. The kite-making preparations are in full swing at the residence of Sarvesh Rao in Ashoknagara.

Team Mangalore has already taken part in kite festivals in 12 countries including France, England, Italy, Korea, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Qatar, Dubai, and Sri Lanka.
