Hubballi: Due to the cancellation of Indigo flights, a couple who had married at Bhubaneshwar in Odisha could not attend their reception in Hubballi, and the event turned out to be an online one.
As the Indigo flight from Bhubaneshwar in which newy-wed Medha Ksheeragar and Sangam Das were supposed to travel for attending their wedding reception in Hubballli was cancelled, they had to joined the event at Medha's native virtually. Their wedding had taken place in Bhubanshwar on November 23, and reception was arranged at Gujarat Bavat at Deshpande Naagr in Hubballi on December 3. Both of them are working as software engineers in Bengaluru.
"The newlywed waited for the flight from December 2 afternoon, and it was announced cancelled on December 3 early morning. As arrangements were made for the reception on December 3 and relatives were invited, it was decided to go ahead with the reception and present the couple online," said Medha's syster Anjana Ksheerasagar.
Our parents were on the stage, received greetings, and the newlywed couple greeted the guests online through a screen, she added.
