CM to visit today

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will take part in the Jatra Mahotsava of Huchchappaswamy and Hadinalku Koota Beeredevarugalu, that is being conducted after 39 years at Doddabala village of Nagamangala taluk.

Earlier, the jatra was conducted once in 12 years. The festival was stopped after the villagers decided that the jatra should be organised only after construction of a new temple, as it was difficult to provide necessary facilities for the devotees coming from various parts of the state.

Police have made security arrangements. Special pujas and rituals are being conducted as part of the jatra.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Kumara and other officials inspected the village and also the helipad.
