Thieves broke into a house and decamped with Rs 80,000 cash, a laptop and 20 grams of gold jewellery, from a house belonging to Lokesh in Adarsha Dravida Colony, Third Block, Kushalnagar.
The miscreants broke the rear door using a pick-axe when nobody was present in the house.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning when Lokesh returned to the house, from his native place.
Kushalnagar police conducted an inspection.
