Responding to a query about Rama Sene activists vandalising a salon in the city recently, he said, “If people have any information about illegal activities in salons or massage parlours, they should inform the police or concerned authorities. Who are they to attack anyone? If they have proof of illegal activities, it should be brought to the notice of the relevant authorities."

"Such incidents of moral policing are a black mark on Dakshina Kannada district and Mangaluru city. When investors visit us, they question the safety and law-and-order situation in the district,” he told mediapersons.

He further emphasised, “Everyone should condemn such incidents. The problem is that some are justifying these actions. No one is above the law.”

When asked about the robbery at the Kotekar Vyavasaya Seva Sahakari Sangha Niyamitha branch at K C Road, the minister said that the police have successfully solved the case and recovered the stolen property. “I have directed the police department to issue guidelines to banks to enhance their security. Banks must prioritise safety and security,” he added.

On the discussions regarding a potential change in the chief minister, Dinesh Gundu Rao dismissed the topic, saying, “There is no need for such a discussion. The question of another chief minister does not arise when we already have one. Siddaramaiah is a mass leader, and we have 100 per cent trust in him. We all stand firmly with the CM.”

Referring to the Karnataka Governor’s statement that the state’s guarantee schemes have boosted the economy, the Minister said, “The Congress-led government in Karnataka has fulfilled its promises. We are proud of our guarantee schemes. They serve as a model for the entire country.”
