Three die in separate mishaps

Three persons were killed here on Friday in three separate mishaps. Ranganayaka (48), a two-wheeler rider, met his tragic end after his vehicle was hit by a speeding lorry at Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Circle around 5.45 am.

A native of Hulimavu in Nanjangud taluk, he was returning to his native after visiting his mother at T K Layout in the city. The lorry driver fled the spot, abandoning the vehicle.

In another incident, Nagu (18), son of one Swamy from Bannur, was killed on the spot when a goods autorickshaw, in which he was travelling, was hit by a lorry near Yaraganahalli Circle, in Siddarthanagar traffic police limits, at 4.30 am.

Nagu, along with his relative Manju, had hired the autorickshaw to collect vegetable waste for the piggery unit run by the duo at their native place. Nagu succumbed to the injuries, while Manju  is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

In yet another incident, Vinay (19), who suffered injuries in a self-mishap that occurred on Thursday night, succumbed in the early hours of Friday.

He was a trainee at the Central Institute for Plastics Engineering and Technology (CI-PET), Hebbal. Vinay, son of one Krishna Shetty, Thippur, K R Nagar taluk, was riding towards his native in the night, when he rammed the vehicle against the median near the outer-ring road at Vijayanagar. He had been admitted to K R Hospital, where he breathed his last.
