Three drown in pond in Karnataka's Srirangapatna
Sonu (17) Simran (16) and Siddiq (9) were visiting their relative's house in Chikkayarahalli, in Pandavapura taluk, when the mishap occurred.

Srirangapatna: Three people from Mysuru drowned in a pond adjoining the Visvesvaraya canal, near KRS dam, in Srirangapatna taluk, Mandya district, on Monday.
Sonu (17) Simran (16) and Siddiq (9) were visiting their relative's house in Chikkayarahalli, in Pandavapura taluk, when the mishap occurred.
According to police, they had come near the pond on the North Bank, when Siddiq slipped into the water. Sonu and Simran rushed in to rescue him but also drowned.
KRS police have registered a case.
