Three members of a family committed suicide by hanging at Gudal village in Davangere taluk on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Nataraj (40), his wife Pallavi (24) and his son Pradeep (15).
The police said Nataraj had married Pallavi just three days ago, after the death of his first wife. Pradeep was the son of Nataraj from his first wife.
Pallavi’s parents were not happy with her marriage. Upset over this, the couple hanged themselves from a tree on the outskirts of the village.
Seeing his parents dead, Pradeep too ended his life by hanging himself at his house in Gudal village. The Davangere Rural police visited the spot and registered a case.
