Efforts will be directed towards setting up of a food park at Bijapur as well, he added.
Food parks are functioning well in Malur, Jewargi, Bagalkot and Hiriyur. However, the food parks are not much developed in Hiriyur and Bagalkot, Suresh observed.
Land has been identified for the setting up of a mega food park in Chikmagalur at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore. Also, efforts are being directed towards the establishment of turmeric processing unit at Chamarajanagar, he added.
