The budget proposes to convert Karnataka into a kerosene-free state.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced ‘Anila Bhagya’ to provide free LPG gas connections to about five lakh families that were not covered under the Central government’s ‘Ujjvala’ scheme.

An amount of Rs 1,600 from central government will be given for free connections. Option will be given to ration card holders in rural areas with gas connection to choose either kerosene or free re-chargeable LED sets.

Free foodgrains have been increased from 5 kg to 7 kg under Annabhagya scheme. The government has simplified the eligibility criteria. Simplified new ration cards will be sent to the eligible families by post within 15 days. Distribution of ration cards has ben brought under Sakala scheme.
