He was speaking to reporters after receiving the charge from the outgoing Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao. Ranganath, the 32nd Chief Secretary of the State said he will concentrate on producing results through team work and better coordination. Besides, primacy will be for improvement of infrastructure, agriculture, health, education and social welfare sectors, he added.

Ranganath said that his long tenure is an advantage for him to build up a team and chalk out long term plans on administration. To a query he said that maintenance of law and order will not be a challenge for him, as Karnataka is the most peaceful State in the country.

Colleagues supportive
Sudhakar Rao said he had a wonderful experience as the Chief Secretary. “It was a great responsibility. I got a great deal of support from my colleagues and the Chief Minister,” he added. Sudhakar said that he has an offer to become an Administrative Member of Central Administrative Tribunal, Bangalore, and that he has sought some time before taking up his new assignment.
