Mild tremors were reported in Varahi hydel project areas of Hosanagar taluk and in Megaravalli gram panchayat limits of Thirthahalli taluk on Monday afternoon.
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC) had predicted that tremors would occur repeatedly in the command areas of reservoirs in the district, after mild tremors were reported in the area on Sunday.
Residents said mild tremors were felt at Mastikatte, Yaduru, Sulagodu of Hosanagar taluk. They came out of their homes after hearing the loud noise.
The KSNDMC has asked the district administration to be ready to face any eventuality.
