The car that crashed into a rodside tree near KB Cross in Tiputur taluk, Tumakuru district, on Monday.
Two students were killed on the spot and three others were seriously injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree near KB Cross in the taluk on Monday morning.
According to the police, the deceased are Kiran (18) of Chakohallipalya in Turuvekere taluk and Trinesh (20), a resident of Dandinashivara. They were on their way to write the CET exam in Chikkamagaluru.
The injured students have been admitted to Dandinashivara and Turuvekere hospitals for treatment. Their condition is said to be critical. The KB Cross police have registered the case.
