Shivamogga: Police have nabbed two people in connection with the displacement of the Lord Nagadeva idol at Bangarappa Layout near Ragigudda in the city on Saturday night.

The incident took place at an under-construction house . A construction worker, Niyamat is in charge of the operations and is stationed there. Locals had alleged that Niyamat's friend dislocated the idol and threw it away.

Upon verification, it was discovered that the idol is in the same location, but the glue with which it was stuck to the cement floor has loosened.

Shivamogga Rural Police have registered a case, and the investigation is on.
