Two held for luring voters

Cash to the tune of Rs 82,000, 10 fake voter ID cards and a van were seized from them, in R T Nagar on Sunday.

According to the police, Venkatesh and Murthy were caught when they were allegedly luring voters to vote for Congress candidate from J C Nagar (ward no. 46) Govindaraju, at Adarsh School polling booth in R T Nagar 1st Block.

R Madhusoodan, a voter from Mathadahalli, saw the duo carrying a plastic bag containing Rs 500 currency notes  and tipped off the police.

Moreover, they allegedly offered 10 fake voter ID cards to those who didn’t have them, police added.
