Two persons have been arrested for reportedly harassing a minor girl sexually in the taluk on Saturday night, reports DHNS from NR Pura in Chikkamagaluru district.
The police have identified the suspects as Thammaiah Bhovi, a physical education teacher at the government higher primary school in Eechekere, and Sunil, the victim’s neighbour.
The 14-year-old girl, a resident of Simse village and a class 7 student, was being sexually harassed by Bhovi at the school for the past few days. Sunil too went to the girl’s house when she was alone and sexually harassed her. The incident came to light when the girl fell ill.
