Two persons suffered injuries after a leopard attacked them at Kantavara in Karkala taluk.

The injured are Sundar Poojary (69) and Meena (52), who are residents of Ambarisha Guhe in Kantavara.

The leopard attacked Sundar Poojary when he was standing in the yard of his house. When the dog barked, the leopard fled from the spot and later attacked Meena.

The Forest Department officers rushed to the spot and carried out a search operation for the leopard. The big cat was caught after the officers tranquilised it at Moodahithlu in Kantavara.
