Two monkeys were found dead at Kuchooru Road and Siddapura in Udupi on Monday.
KFD (Kyasanur Forest disease) Nodal Officer Dr Prashanth Bhat said the blood samples of a patient from Brahmavar suffering from suspected KFD was sent to the laboratory. The report is awaited.
So far, the viscera of 53 monkeys found dead in Udupi had been sent to the laboratory and 12 monkeys were tested positive for the KFD virus. The mobile unit of the health department visited Kollur on Monday to create awareness on KFD.
Awareness was also created at Koraga Colony at Kadthala Gram Panchayat limits.
