Mayakonda (Davanagere Dist): Two SSLC students drowned in the Bhadra canal near Kurki village in Davangere taluk on Sunday.
The two have been identified as Panduranga and Yathindra. They had come to the village since it was Sunday. Yathindra did not know swimming and started drowning.
On noticing this, Panduranga rushed to save his friend, but both drowned. Hadai police have registered a case.
