A video shot by one Anand, who was bound for Mysuru, in his car from Aloka side, showing a tiger near the border of the Social Forest, has been widely circulated on social media platforms.

Anand has also circulated an audio clipping, warning those bound for Chikkegowdanakoppalu and Nagavala villages on the stretch, during the night.

Anand said, “While one tiger crossed the road and entered the social forest, another tiger stood by the roadside for some time, before disappearing”.

Upon receiving the information, Forest department officials rushed to the spot. They said, camera traps will be installed to monitor the supposed movement of tigers, besides conducting a combing operation.
