Of the eight lakh metric tonne ore seized, six lakh metric tonne has been illegally exported and investigation into the issue is on, he said. He refused to comment till the probe into the total quantity of the ore seized by the port, export officials and the Lokayukta team is over.
Special investigation officer and Assistant Forest Conservator Narendra Hittalammakki was suddenly transferred on Saturday to the Forest Guards Training School in Bidar.
He had registered a case against the 11 transporters on the Lokayukta’s directions.
