UAE explores investment opportunities in state

The United Arabs Emirates (UAE) has expressed interest in investing in infrastructure development, the establishment of food parks and low-cost houses in the state. UAE ambassador Dr Ahmed Al Banna met Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy here on Monday and conveyed his nation’s interest in investments in various sectors.

According to the chief minister’s office, Kumaraswamy said UAE’s investment in Karnataka had risen over the years in areas such as agriculture, irrigation, renewable energy, innovation and technologies, automobiles and digital medicine. He is also learnt to have asked the UAE to explore investments in the production of flowers, vegetables and fruits, which Karnataka exports to European countries.
