Koppal: State Election Commissioner (SEC) G S Sangreshi expressed his displeasure over former MP V S Ugrappa’s subtle warning to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, saying “don’t snatch food from our plates” during a government programme.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Sangreshi said, “Both Ugrappa and Siddaramaiah have come up from lower strata of the society. Both are champions of social justice. Ugrappa should not have embarrassed Siddaramaiah with his statement.

"The CM is not limited to a community. Why would he snatch food from others’ plates? Ugrappa should have raised the issue on the party forum. This is my opinion,” said Sangreshi, who holds the constitutional post.

“The data provided by the ongoing socio-educational survey, conducted by the state backward classes commission, will help the government to formulate the welfare programmes for the communities,” he said.
