Sagar: BJP National General Secretary BL Santosh said on Thursday that the forces that tried to overthrow the system with guns in the forest have now entered the city. These urban Naxals have taken up pens and are busy dividing society by writing their strange ideology, he added.
Inaugurating the programme titled 'Samvidhana Sanmana' organised by Citizens for Social Justice at the Daivajna Kalyana Mantapa here on Thursday, he said, using the great Constitution written by Dr B R Ambedkar as a tool kit, some fake Gandhis are acting strangely and smearing the personalities of Gandhi and Ambedkar, he alleged.
He said the Constitution is like a modern memory. "Just as we keep the Bhagavad Gita at home, we should also keep the Constitution. We should also be aware of those who misuse the Constitution for political interests," he whispered.
Recalling the past, he said, ‘When the Congress was in power, it had amended the Constitution more than 75 times and distorted it. The Sangh Parivar and the BJP have expressed their concern to protect the true intention of the Constitution and are working in that direction,’ he said.
"Congress leaders chant Ambedkar every day. However, it was the Congress party that defeated Ambedkar when he contested elections earlier. It was the same Congress party that denied government housing to Ambedkar’s wife a few months after his death and opposed the construction of an Ambedkar memorial," he said.
"The Congress is constantly spreading false propaganda that the BJP has no respect for the Constitution. It is the pride of the BJP that it acts in accordance with the Constitution without compromising on the country’s security and culture," said MLC Shantharam Siddi.
