He took charge in the presence of senior Congress leader MLA Srinivasa Prasad, District Congress (rural) president Dharmasena and president of Mysore District (City) Youth Congress Shaukat Ali Khan and president of the women’s unit of the party Meena Thugadeepa Srinivas, former chairman of Dry Land Development Board K R Mohan Kumar and others.
In his address, MLA Srinivasa Prasad said the youth were the engine of growth and development of the Country.
The youth wing of the party should actively involve in strengthening the Nation and the party. He commended the role of Youth Congress and called upon the wing to work with unison with the district and City Congress. The youth hold the future of the Country, he said. The MLA also referred to the National general secretary Rahul Gandhi holding close interaction with the students across the States. Young Congress leaders should emulate him, he said.
