Madikeri: The body of BJP worker Vinay Somaiah, who died by suicide in Bengaluru, reached Kushalnagar on Saturday, keeping the administration on toes as the opposition BJP is gearing up for protests.
The body is currently placed at the mortuary of the Community Health Centre.
The saffron party is preparing for a massive protest, demanding that the names of the Chief Minister’s Legal Advisor AS Ponnanna and MLA Dr Mantar Gowda also be included in the FIR.
BJP State President Vijayendra has departed from Shivamogga and is expected to arrive in Kushalnagar shortly.
Tight security has been put in place across the town. Over 500 police personnel have been deployed for security, with officers arriving from neighboring districts as well.
