Ballot in favour of the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will be converted into bullets against terrorism, Sunil Kumar, MLA and BJP district election in-charge, has said.

He was speaking after the inaugural of the screening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ address at the BJP election office near Bunts’ Hostel in the city on Sunday.

Sunil Kumar said that the upcoming parliamentary election is not only about electing an MP for the constituency but also about choosing national security.

He further said, “The Modi government took a tough stand and gave a befitting reply to the terror acts.’’

The people should think whether they want a brave leader like Modi or a vacillating leadership of the Congress, he said.

The Modi-led government has waged a war against black money, Kumar added.

‘‘The futuristic programmes implemented by the government have instilled confidence among the people while the Opposition parties have been criticising the prime minister only for the sake of opposition,” he said.

Sunil Kumar stated that the leaders of the Mahagathbandhan have been fearing the end of their autocratic rule.

In an undemocratic gesture, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has protested against a CBI investigation and now Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has been protesting against IT raids, the MLA added.

He, meanwhile, expressed confidence about the BJP candidate and incumbent MP Nalin Kumar Kateel getting elected for the third consecutive time, with a thumping majority.

Mangaluru South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, BJP district general secretaries Capt Brijesh Chowta and Sudarshan Moodbidri, leaders Yogish Bhat, Pratap Simha Nayak, and Gopalakrishna Herale were present on the occasion.
