Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has denied the charges that question papers of Mathematics-2 (CBCS system) were leaked due to negligence on the part of the varsity. The examination for the subject was held on Thursday.

Vice Chancellor Dr Karisiddappa told DH on Friday that VTU delivers question papers online to the colleges 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination. They have to be decoded after which printouts could be taken for distributing them to the students. Therefore, leak of question paper is not possible, he added.

There were allegations from a section of students that the question paper was being circulated on WhatsApp on Thursday morning in Bengaluru and Chikkamagaluru. “However, no student has come forward to reveal the source. We will launch an investigation,” he said.
