As the burial places and crematoriums are waterlogged, the relatives of the deceased have been facing inconvenience in performing the last rights in areas situated on the banks of River Cauvery.

Kushalnagar was submerged due to the overflowing Cauvery river. As the stormwater has inundated, the burial places and crematoriums at Chirashanthi Dhama belonging to Christian community, crematoriums belonging to Kodava-Gowda communities and Harischandra Ghat, were out of bounds for those wanting to perform last rites of their near and dear ones.People are facing a tough time in draining out the accumulated water from the burial places.
