Mysuru: Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Wednesday that whenever Congress comes to power, people of a particular community takes law into their hands.
Speaking to media persons, in Mysuru, on Wednesday, Gowda said, "There is only Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s mind and Home Minister G Parameshwara is not capable of handling law and order situation in Karnataka."
Gowda, who was in Mysuru, during his visit to the Kumbha Mela at Triveni Sangama of T Narsipur town, said Siddaramaiah has changed a lot during his second tenure as CM.
"Now his condition is such that ‘Sidda’ (meaning achiever) in his name should be removed,” he added.
“G Parameshwara is a Home Minister in name only. He is just warming the chair. No one including K N Rajanna and Sathish Jarkiholi are functioning as ministers. They are engaged only in appeasement politics. This is a corrupt government,” he said.
Metro fare hike
Pointing at the Centre, regarding a hike in the fare of Metro services in Bengaluru, he said that it will not serve the purpose.
“The Karnataka government should mount pressure on the Centre to rationalise the fares. We agree that the Metro fares should be reduced and the Centre should intervene. But, the state government should take the first step. Then, we would accompany the delegation of the state government to meet the Centre,” Gowda said.
