Bengaluru: On the eve of the ‘Sadhana Samavesha’ event organised by the Congress to commemorate the second anniversary of its government in Karnataka, the BJP on Monday unveiled a poster, taking a dig at the ruling party: ‘Karnataka looti (plunder) – Congress duty’.

Pointing to the submerged roads and waterlogged locales of Bengaluru, BJP chief spokesperson Ashwath Narayan Gowda said, “Congress will be highlighting its achievements at the Sadhana Samavesha. While Congress is celebrating, Bengaluru is drowning.”

Govt failure

Lashing out at the state government’s failure to prepare the capital for rains that the Indian Meteorological Department had forecast well in advance, Gowda added, “Brand Bengaluru is now being transformed into Greater Bengaluru, but it is turning into Submerging Bengaluru.”
