A female elephant was found dead at Aanechowkoor forest limits here on Wednesday.
The carcass was found in CPT-6, near the foothills of Jenkallu.
Veterinarian of the wildlife division, Umashankar informed that the elephant could be aged around 35 years. It may have died five days ago due to natural causes. ACF Prasanna Kumar and RFO M S Chinnappa visited the spot.
