H D Kote (Mysuru dist): Following complaints against him on alleged sexual abuse on girl students, the headmaster of a government higher primary school in H D Kote taluk, Mysuru district, has gone absconding.
The headmaster stayed away from the school, after a complaint was lodged against him on February 25. Another complaint was lodged on March 1. Based on the complaints by the BEO and the parents, police have registered cases against him.
MLA Anil Chikkamadu visited the school on Monday, when BEO arrived at the spot late. Following this, the Education department has issued orders suspending the Block Education Officer K Kantharaju and two others citing dereliction of duty.
SP Vishnuvardhana and Deputy Commissioner G Lakshmikanth Reddy visited the school on Tuesday. The villagers demanded action against the erring officers.
Police have formed two teams to nab the absconding headmaster.
