Belagavi: A woman who had been admitted for delivery at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences District Hospital died on Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Keerti Nesargi (19), resident of Tummurguddi.
Sources said, Keerti had been admitted at the facility for delivery over a week ago. She had delivered an infant through caesarian section on Tuesday after which her health deteriorated due to bleeding. As she lost consciousness, she was shifted to ICU where she succumbed to blood loss.
Family members of the deceased accused negligence by doctors and them not being informed about her health when she had been admitted for delivery.
