Water Resources Minister M B Patil said on Sunday there were many capable leaders in the Congress to take on the mantle of the president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee.

Patil said he would never lobby with the party high command for the post. Patil, however, said he would take a suitable decision if the high command chose him for the post.

Incumbent KPCC chief G Parameshwara, K H Muniyappa, the Kolar MP, Energy Minister D K Shivakumar and others were capable of leading the party for the next year’s elections, Patil said.
