
Royal Challengers Bengaluru's players celebrate with the trophy after winning the WPL

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah congratulated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team, on Thursday, for winning the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 crown.
In a post on X, he wrote in Kannada, "Once again, the RCB women’s team has clinched the WPL trophy. It was a joy to see our @RCBTweets team, which consistently delivered excellent performances throughout the tournament, emerge as champions by defeating the Delhi team in today’s final."
"Congratulations to our RCB girls who won the trophy through a collective team effort. The performance of the Delhi team, which fought hard for victory until the very end of the match, is also commendable," he further applauded the teams.
Deputy Chief Minster D K Shivakumar called the game 'truly fitting for a finale,' as he commended the team's display of confidence, discipline, and unity.
"RCB Lifts the WPL Trophy Once Again! Hearty Congratulations to the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women on clinching the WPL title. The team displayed confidence, discipline, and unity, handling the final with great composure. A game truly fitting for a finale," he wrote in a post on his X handle.
Minister H D Kumaraswamy also shared his hearty congratulations to the team on their win, and for "scripting another proud chapter in women's cricket."
"Heartfelt congratulations to the @RCBTweets women for winning the 2026 Women's Premier League title and scripting another proud chapter in women's cricket," his post on his social media handle read.
"Under the inspirational leadership of @mandhana_smriti and with the best coordinated performance from every member of the team, the #RCB women have delivered an outstanding display to clinch their 2nd championship.
"This remarkable achievement has once again scripted the glorious history of dedication, discipline, and excellence of women sportspersons in India in letters of gold. In the same way, I wish our RCB team continued success and to witness countless such wonderful moments," he wrote as he praised the team on their second consecutive title win.
