Former chief minister and state president of KJP B S Yeddyurappa said that the party would not compromise on issues pertaining to water, culture and language of the State.
Addressing the gathering during the KJP workers convention, he said that the government at Centre always took Tamil Nadu’s side, when it came to the issue of River Cauvery.
While the voices of the regional parties had been stifled, MPs representing the State had failed to take up the issue, even when Karnataka was grappling under the drought situation which had led to acute drinking water shortage.
Yeddyurappa said that his party would announce the second list of candidates by the end of the month.
The first list comprised names of 69 candidates. S M Kempanna, zilla panchayat member of BJP participated in the KJP meet, he added.
