As many as 23 activists of the Youth Congress were arrested when they hurled tomatoes at district BJP office here on Thursday, protesting BJP President B S Yeddyurappa being sworn in as chief minister.

The agitating activists alleged that Governor Vajubhai Vala invited BJP to form the government though the party did not have the numbers to form a government.

They termed the move 'unconstitutional' and demanded that Governor Vajubhai Vala be removed.
