Shivamogga: A youth died in a head-on collision between two bikes during celebrations on Tuesday night following the RCB team's victory in the IPL final against Punjab.
The deceased youth is Abhinandan (21), a resident of Venkatesh Nagar.
The accident occurred in front of the Ganapathi Temple at Raveendranagar.
The youths had decided to take out bike rally to celebrate RCB's victory. Two bikes collided head-on. Abhinandan, who was seriously injured, died on the spot.
The incident occurred within the limits of Jayanagar police station.
Hit-and-run after hitting a car: During the night celebrations, a bike reportedly rammed into a car parked in front of a house in Durgigudi. The miscreants fled on a bike. The car was damaged.
Police used light lathicharge to disperse the crowd as the RCB victory celebrations continued till late night at Seenappa Shetty Circle in Shivamogga.
