Bengaluru: Housing Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan announced on Monday that a separate housing scheme would be formed for lawyers either through the Karnataka Housing Board or the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation.
According to a press note, Zameer made the announcement after Advocates’ Association president Vivek Reddy and Additional Advocate General Ismail Zabiulla met the minister and submitted a memorandum seeking sites or a dedicated housing complex for lawyers who do not own homes.
The minister responded to the appeal by instructing officials of the Housing Board and the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation to identify suitable land for the construction of a housing complex.
