Accusing Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of tarnishing his image, Chandrababu Naidu has warned that the TRS government would fall the day KCR tries to arrest him.

“It would be the last day of his government,” the Andhra Chief Minister said in an interview to NDTV on Wednesday in New Delhi, where he is on a visit.

Rubbishing accusations that he spoke to TRS appointed MLA Stephenson regarding the cash-to-vote scandal; Naidu claimed that the tape the Telangana government has produced as evidence was doctored.  “Either the tape was doctored or the Telangana government was tapping my phone. Why should I answer for it?” Naidu said in the interview.

Naidu also accused KCR of luring TDP legislators by offering ministerial positions in his cabinet and criticised ESL Narasimhan, the common governor for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, for administering the oath of office to the turncoats without asking any questions.
“The Governor administers oath of office and secrecy to a TDP MLA as a cabinet minister of Telangana government, without asking any questions,” Naidu said.

“Since the formation of (Telangana) state I have been trying to work with his government, but the chief minister has lured five of my legislators by offering them berths in his cabinet,” Naidu said.

Meanwhile, the main accused in the cash-for-votes scam Revanth Reddy was given interim bail to attend his daughter Nymisha Reddy’s engagement on Thursday.
Granting him interim bail from 6 am to 6 pm on Thursday, the ACB special court has laid strict conditions, asking the ACB to escort Revanth to his residence and asked the accused not to address political meetings or the media. The court also cautioned him to stay away from witnesses.
