Kerala man dies in hit-and-run near Varthur

Bengaluru: A 25-year-old man died after a vehicle struck him and ran over him in southeastern Bengaluru around 12.30 am on Tuesday. 

Abubakar was on his way to visit a friend in a private hospital in Whitefield when the incident occurred on Varthur-Gunjur Road. He had gone to the friend's house to feed his dog. 

Abubakar, hailing from Kerala, worked in a private health insurance company in Bengaluru. 

According to the traffic police, his head appeared to have come under the wheels of a heavy vehicle, causing fatal injuries. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet. 

The Whitefield Traffic Police have registered a case.
