Thiruvananthapuram: The police held a person in Kerala on charges of seeking the location of INS Vikrant by impersonating as a PMO official.

The police prima facie suspect that the person is suffering from mental illness.

A call was received at the Kochi naval base on Friday seeking the location of INV Vikrant. The person identified himself as 'Raghavan from the Prime Minister's office'.

Subsequently the Naval Base authorities lodged a police complaint and the youth was traced to be a native of Kozhikode.

He was taken into custody and interrogated on Monday. Officials of central agencies were also examining him.

INS Vikrant, which is the country's first indigenous aircraft carrier, was built at the Cochin Shipyard.
