Thiruvananthapuram: The mystery over the death of additional district magistrate in Kerala Naveen Babu has deepened as the inquest report states that there was blood stain in his inner wear.

As per reports, though the inquest report mentions about blood stains in the undergarments, the postmortem examination did not mention any injuries on the body and concluded that it was a case of suicide.

The fresh contradictions have come out at a time when a plea of Babu's family for a CBI probe into the death is pending before the Kerala High Court. Babu's family even raised suspicions over conducting the inquest before the family members or any relatives reached the spot.

The CPM government in Kerala is opposing the demand for CBI probe citing that the police probe is progressing in the right direction.

Babu, who was serving as Kannur ADM,  was found hanging in his quarters on October 15, a day after he was snubbed by CPM leader and then Kannur district panchayat president P P Divya.
