Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday released an official magazine of the Kerala Raj Bhavan with a word of caution that the opinions and view in the articles appearing in the Raj Bhavan's official publication need not reflect that of the government.

The event was a curiously awaited one as the picture of 'Bharatmatha' at the functions at Raj Bhavan was strongly objected by the government earlier. But 'Bharatmatha's' picture was not there at today's event.

Releasing the quarterly magazine 'Rajahams', the Chief Minister said that there could be chances of articles reflecting opinions that contradicts with that of the state government appearing in the magazine.

He also cited the instance of the article titled 'Article 200 and a Constitutional Conundrum' published in the first edition of the magazine.

"The opinions expressed by the writer on Governor's powers does not completely agree with that of the state government's views," said Vijayan who released the magazine by handing over a copy to Congress leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor.

The state recently witnessed severe friction between the state government and the Raj Bhavan over the use of a picture of 'Bharatmatha' with saffron flag at functions. Vijayan had then even stated that Raj Bhavan should not be lowered to the standards of a RSS sakha.
