Perumbavoor MLA Eldose P Kunnapilly has sought permission of Kerala Assembly speaker for presenting a private member's bill for forming Kerala State Men's Commission on the lines of women's commissions.

Social activist Rahul Easwar, who has been carrying out a campaign in this regard, said that the proposed bill should not be considered as anti-women.

"While a man is booked in fake sexual assault, his mother, wife and daughter also suffer from it. Like women, men's dignity should be also respected. Hence the identity of a man facing sexual allegation should not be revealed until he is proved guilty," said Easwar.

Easwar, along with office bearers of All Kerala Men's Association, will launch a campaign from the Martyr's day on Thursday for the men's commission.

Easwar said that they will seek support from all legislators and various women's organisations.

Kunnappilly said that he was not trying to defend his case, but trying to bring relief to scores of men who were facing false accusations . He said that he will legally fight the sexual assault case against him and prove his innocence.
