Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President K Sudhakaran.
Thiruvananthapuram: Unrest is brewing in the Congress in Kerala over the ongoing discussions for removing Lok Sabha MP K Sudhakaran from the Kerala PCC president post.
Sources said that the AICC could even put on hold the ongoing moves to replace Sudhakaran.
Sudhakaran reportedly expressed his displeasure to the AICC leadership over the discussions without taking him into confidence. He was agitated as there were reports that the AICC is considering four other leaders as replacement for him.
With his health issues being cited by his critics as a reason for replacing him, Sudhakaran was also learnt to have offered to quit his MP post.
Opposition leader V D Satheesan on Friday accused the media of giving false reports that he had demanded AICC general secretary in charge of Kerala Deepa Dasmunshi to remove Sudhakaran.
He also added that no discussions on replacing Sudhakaran with any other leaders were taking place in the state now. It is for the party high command to take any such decision on such matters, he said.
