Mollywood actress Vincy Aloshious has sparked a new controversy with her social media post, where she has levelled serious allegations against her co-actor for creating an unsafe environment on the movie set. Vincy has further taken the matter to AMMA by filing a formal complaint against actor Shine Tom Chacko.
The Rekha star shared a video on social media, narrating the horror she experienced at the film set, including drug use and inappropriate conduct by the co-star. Without mentioning any names initially, Vincy detailed how the actor tried to adjust her costume while claiming to assist her, and how she saw him spit out a white powder, which she believed was drugs, during scene rehearsals.
Vincy has been making headlines since she participated in an anti-drug awareness event, where she said that she would refuse to act alongside actors who use drugs.
The video has sparked a heated discussion across the Malayalam film industry. Following the public outcry, major organisations, including AMMA, FEFKA and the Film Chamber, urged her to file a formal complaint. Responding to these calls, Vincy submitted an official complaint to both AMMA and the Film Chamber, this time naming Shine Tom Chacko.
Meanwhile, the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) has also extended their support and demanded that the production team to be questioned on whether there was an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) on set, as required. Taking this matter seriously, the Excise Department is also likely question Vincy about her allegations.
Well, this is not the first time Shine Tom Chacko’s name has been linked to drug consumption. Earlier, he was linked to a hybrid drug case in Alappuzha. Although Shine denied those allegations, this fresh complaint by actress Vincy has once again brought him under the spotlight.
