Thiruvananthapuram: A youth reached Kerala from Mumbai by skating along the national highway and landed in police custody for endangering others.

Subratho Mandal, a Mumbai-settled West Bengal native, was said to have reached Thrissur in Kerala from Mumbai in six days by roller skating around 1,300 kilometres last week. He was said to have held moving vehicles to move faster. His intention was to meet his brother who is working in Thrissur.

The police booked him for dangerously skating through the busy roads and thereby causing danger to others.

Thrissur east circle inspector Jijo M J said that a few days back there were reports that a youth was  skating dangerously through the city roads. But he could not be tracked. On Tuesday he again carried out skating dangerously through the city. Subsequently he was nabbed.

He was booked under provisions of the Kerala Police Act for causing danger to the  public, said the police.
